Illegal downloads were clocked at 40 billion for 2008.
That is a heck of a lot of stolen music!

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008Music stores are closing down, and digital music sales are going up and up! Official sales figures show that legal music downloads in 2008 have been mighty impressive!
According to Nielsen SoundScan, more than 1 billion digital songs were purchased during 2008. The 1 billion mark was reached on December 14.
